Framing Guide

I’ve written in a previous post about the benefits of giclée reproduction prints, and how beautiful they are. Adding a stunning frame is something else that can really elevate your prints, adding to the luxe look that prints can offer.

Digging around thrift stores, you can find gorgeous, ornate frames, which compliment a piece of art beautifully. But you might find that those frames are in rough shape, that they don’t have backing boards, or even a way to hang them up. You think that they are beautiful, but you don’t know how to add your art print to them.

Or, you might prefer the clean lines that a simple IKEA frame offers, but they come in odd sizes? You can cut (or get someone else to cut) mats to fit the frame and the art.

Perhaps buying a stretched canvas print isn’t in the budget, but you have an old frame you could stretch a canvas over. An old frame, thrifted stretched canvas, or even just cutting up some wood to size can help you build a frame easily, ready to stretch your art print over it. This saves you a ton, reducing the print and shipping cost, and still allows you to have that stunning stretched painting on your wall.

But you just aren’t sure how to tackle it all?

All these and more are laid out for you in the guide, with photos too! I’ve given you the materials, the details, the photos, and the suggestions. All that you need to do is pick out a beautiful art print, find a frame and give yourself a little time to get it framed up beautifully.
