Set up my Desk for Art Journaling

Let’s set up my desk for working in my art journal! Instead of facing the overwhelm of all of my supplies, I like to curate a little palette of paints, tools, and ephemera when I’m working in my art journals. Here, I’m sharing a recent set up for working in my book for Junk Journal July, a month long art journaling challenge I did. It was organized by Meg Journals in collaboration with Get Messy Art, and I highly recommend joining in next year for January or July! The month long journey had daily prompts, each with a mini lesson taught by a different artist. It was a wonderful way to get my fingers creative each day, and push myself on prompts that were difficult, and that I maybe didn’t want to tackle. I haven’t posted about it yet, but it will be a blog post soon. In the meantime, here’s a walk through of all the supplies I set up on my desk for working on this project.
