Rooted: to render firm, to fix, establish, cause a person or a thing to be thoroughly grounded; foundation.

Grace: the free and unearned favour of God, manifested in the salvation of sinners and the giving of blessings; a wholly unearned and undeserved blessing.

There’s something about feeling like you have a sound system of roots holding you up. A good foundation keeps you standing. There’s a sense of comfort in brushstrokes, knowing they will always be there waiting for me if I ever have to leave them. They won’t abandon me. That is the same with life and having it built on a good foundation. My roots are in the grace given by God. Grace is being given things that we don’t deserve. Blessings, salvation, comfort, protection, kindness, unconditional love.
