A Bible Commission

This spring I took on a bible commission, which was chock full of perfect inspiration…flowers! I love painting flowers, and loved it even more when I didn’t have to think to hard about which ones to include. The customer knew which flowers she wanted included, which colours, and which of my other bibles she was inspired by. Can I say, that just made my job of putting a design together all that much easier! I had been in a creative funk, and having this assignment allowed my brain to take in what it needed out of the painting, without the stress of figuring out what to paint. It was such a blessing. Both in being able to provide a bible that someone will hopefully cherish and become and heirloom, and to get my creative muscles working again.
